General Probate Administration

General probate administration is the work that happens after the court has appointed someone to handle an estate. It includes identifying and valuing estate property, keeping records of money received and paid, and reporting that information to the court while the estate is being administered.

This interview is for someone who has already been appointed as the personal representative of a Nevada probate estate and has received Letters from the court.

It can help determine whether you need an initial inventory, a supplemental inventory, a first account, an annual account, or related proof of mailing.

This interview is for routine, uncontested administration. Disputes about ownership, valuation, fiduciary conduct, litigation, tax issues, or other complex matters may require legal help.

Opening a probate case, asking to be appointed, creditor claims, final accounting, final distribution, and discharge are handled through separate probate processes.

You may need information about estate assets, values, income, expenses, transactions, prior inventories or accounts, and any court orders that affect the administration.

This interview will ask you questions to work out whether the General Probate Administration interview fits your situation and which administration documents you may need to prepare.
